Storing data

It's very simple. Check this example, we are storing data from users and their accesses and actions on a website.

We support time-series and non-time-series data in the following types: boolean, string, integer, decimal, and date.

cURL Python Ruby JavaScript Java .NET/C# Go PHP
$ curl -X POST \
    'api.slicingdice.com/v1/insert'\
    -H 'Authorization: API_KEY'\
    -H 'Content-Type: application/json'\
    -d '{
      "auto-create": ["table", "column"],
      "user@myecommerce.com": {
        "age": 24,
        "watched-webinar": false,
        "downloaded-ebook": true,
        "account-type": "regular",
        "website-accesses": [
          {
            "value": "mywebsite.com",
            "date": "2016-04-01T14:17:25Z"
          }, {
            "value": "mywebsite.com",
            "date": "2016-04-02T13:59:55Z"
          }, {
            "value": "mywebsite.com/shoes",
            "date": "2016-04-05T21:30:19Z"
          }
        ]
      }
    }'
Querying your data

After storing data, querying it is really easy. You only need to make a request containing the query in JSON format.

Here we are making a query like: "How many users accessed my website more than 2 times in the past 30 days and downloaded an eBook, or watched a webinar and signed up for a trial account?".
